Nosferatu: Eine Symphonie des Grauens (Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horrors, 1922), was an unauthorized adaptation of Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel, ‘Dracula’. Prana-Film, its producer, hadn’t enough money to buy adaptation rights or create imposing Expressionistic sets, so the film was largely shot on location on the Baltic coast and, for the Transylvania sequences, in Czechoslovakia.
Enjoy!
